Introduction of WFIA

The WestHolland ForeignInvestment Agency (WFIA) is a government funded organization specialized in economic development, investment promotion and Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) within the West Holland region. WFIA attracts international companies and organizations and assists them in establishing, expanding orrelocating their (foreign) operations to The Netherlands. In addition, WFIA supports the Municipality of The Hague, The Hague Convention Bureau and BureauInternational Affairs in attracting international conferences, seminars andnon-governmental organizations (NGOs). Since 2015, WFIA has been part of‘Invest in Holland’, the acquisition platform of the central government of TheNetherlands.

Job description

WFIA is looking for a pro-active, independent manager (representative)of the WFIA office in Qingdao. You will be responsible for

-         managing the project portfolio (report to WFIA HQ)

-         delivering a set target of projects

-         managing a network of business partnership between WFIA and ourpartnering cities in China

Qualifications

-         a professional with a background inbusiness, economics

-         at least five years of experience inproject management, account management or business development in a commercial environment

-         fluent in English and Chinese

-         affinity with the Dutch businessenvironment

-         comfortable in a target-driven governmental environment

-         a team-player and liaises easily withcontacts of all seniority

-         a flexible work attitude/approach

-         enough knowledge of the Chinese business climate.
