Due to our success and rapid growth in our Servers Business we need to expand our teams with professionals. We are now looking for an ambitious, dynamic and experienced, On Site FAE (Field Application Engineer) at our NL office in Eindhoven
Your Role: As a FAE, you will be tasked with assisting Customers in resolving after-sales technical issues including product usage and hardware/software related topics. You will also be expected to coordinate internal resources and cross-functional team communication in the process of finding needed solutions/information for Customers' technical inquiries. In turn you will also provide customer feedback to Product Management and Marketing Teams to enhance future product development and promotion strategies. Therefore, a problem-solving mindset, on-site customer support abilities, technical presentation/communication skills will enable you to be successful in the FAE role.
Job Responsibilities: - Develop hands-on experience with GIGABYTE NCBU products, with support from Taiwan HQ teams (BIOS & Firmware & Drivers, Mechanical, Quality Assurance, Design & Validation, Production, Product Management).
- Collaborate with Taiwan HQ FAE team to identify root causes of reported technical issues.
- Provide technical presentation/explanation to Customers for reported technical issues and report on follow-up progress of implemented resolution.
- Configure and set up test server systems to reconstruct/simulate reported technical issues; configure and set up test server systems for remote access by Customers for Proof-of-Concept (PoC).
- Carry out on-site visits at Customers' facilities to understand Customers' operations and enable solution integration and issue resolution.
- Support business Events when necessary.
You will work with: - EMEA local Customers and Partners.
- The GIGABYTE NCBU CAE/FAE team (Taiwan and local).
- The GIGABYTE NCBU EMEA Sales Team (Taiwan and local).
- The GIGABYTE NCBU EMEA Marketing Team (Taiwan and local).
- The GIGABYTE NCBU R&D Team (Taiwan).
- Other GIGABYTE NCBU engineering teams (Taiwan)(BIOS & Firmware, Mechanical, Quality Assurance, Design & Validation, Production, Product Management).
Requirements
- Fluency in English speaking is required
- Fluency in a 2nd language is highly preferred (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Chinese).
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or related engineering field like Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.
- MBO level with proven working experience in related field is also welcome.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience with Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience or solutions desired.
- Background & experience with x86-based server architecture.
- Background & experience with HPC/AI/Virtualization projects is highly preferred.
- Skills for hardware and software system diagnostics.
- Experience with Drivers, Firmware, Linux OS, and Windows OS required.
- Technical communication skills (verbal and textual).
- Skills of leading technical investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.
- Skills of Microsoft Office software and other productive software applications.
- Proactive attitude and abilities to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Regular travel is required for on-site customer support.
- Training at the GIGABYTE Taiwan HQ will be provided.
