Finance Supervisor (Netherlands Based) | Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance Supervisor based in the Netherlands, with solid local financial and tax compliance knowledge. This role oversees end-to-end accounting, monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reporting, local expense controlling, SAP financial operations, and EU & Dutch tax compliance. The position also provides proactive financial risk warning and supports ongoing local financial governance and cross-border business operations. Key Objectives • Ensure timely, accurate and consistent financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. • Analyze financial performance and operational data, deliver data-driven insights and practical improvement suggestions to optimize company profitability and operational efficiency. • Ensure full adherence to EU and Dutch financial laws, tax regulations and accounting standards, and keep up with policy changes. • Own internal control processes, safeguard company and client confidential financial data, and participate in cross-functional and ad-hoc finance projects. • Document and optimize accounting control procedures, identify system gaps and process risks, and drive continuous improvement. • Monitor local financial and tax compliance risks, conduct real-time risk assessment based on business activities, and provide early warning and preventive solutions. Main Responsibilities • Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, trial balance reconciliation, month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing, and preparation of balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements. • Perform regular GL reconciliation, investigate accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy. • Prepare monthly financial analysis and operational reports, and support the EU CFO in presenting financial insights to senior management. • Support EU CFO with local tax filings, regulatory compliance procedures and official document submissions. • Maintain high integrity of accounting records, conduct in-depth financial investigation on irregularities, and establish quality control for daily transactions and financial reporting. • Collaborate with the AP team to verify payment documents, reconcile outstanding payables, update supplier balances and ensure compliant fund disbursement. • Liaise with local Dutch accounting firms, assist the EU CFO in drafting, reviewing and maintaining transfer pricing policies and related tax compliance files. • Track updates of Dutch financial and tax regulations, revise internal financial policies and expense reimbursement guidelines to ensure full local compliance. • Independently perform end-to-end SAP accounting operations, standardize daily booking workflows, and ensure all system entries are accurate and fully compliant. • Review local expenses and reimbursement applications, assess authenticity and rationality, control non-compliant spending, and support local cost optimization. • Identify potential financial, tax and operational risks through regular business review, and propose actionable risk mitigation and improvement plans. • Act as the key contact for local European banking institutions, responsible for daily bank business docking, including bank account management, fund settlement, bank statement reconciliation, and handling various banking-related financial services. • Follow up on bank policy updates, optimize corporate bank operation processes, monitor fund flow status in real time, ensure safe, standardized and efficient fund operation, and report banking and fund risks in a timely manner. Requirements & Qualifications • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting experience, with exposure to international or European entity finance. • Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of Dutch and EU financial legislations, local tax rules, filing procedures and compliance requirements. • Business Background: Familiar with international trade accounting, cross-border transaction processing and import & export related tax policies. • System Skill: Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems, capable of independent daily accounting, reconciliation and system process standardization. • Risk Management: Able to identify financial and tax risks proactively, deliver early warnings, and propose practical preventive solutions. • Cost Control: Experienced in local expense review, reimbursement audit and daily financial cost management. • Technical Competency: Strong command of accounting principles, corporate finance procedures and financial statement preparation. • Professional Quality: High integrity, strong confidentiality awareness, rigorous working attitude and clear logical thinking. • Preferred: Previous working experience with EU holding companies or overseas subsidiaries.
